We read with great interest the article by Mohananey et al1 which was a comprehensive meta-analysis of outcomes after permanent pacemaker (PPM) implantation after transcatheter aortic valve replacement. The major finding was that patients with or without PPM implantation had similar all-cause mortality at 1 year. The study by Fadahunsi et al2 was included in this meta-analysis, and we would like to correct misinterpretation of our study findings.
